Husky Park and Santa Claus Reindeer are both inside Santa Claus Village: over 130 huskies, sled rides from 500 m, reindeer all year and seasonal hours.
Both live inside the village. No transfer, no long drive.
You do not have to drive anywhere. Both of them live inside the village.
Arctic Circle Husky Park sits in the middle of the village and keeps over 130 Siberian huskies. In winter you ride behind a team on a sled: 500 m, 2 km or 5 km depending on the weather. With no snow the sled becomes a wheeled carriage and the options are 500 m and 1 km. There is also a 20-minute meet and greet where a few huskies are let loose in a fenced area and you get treats to feed them.
Reindeer are a few steps away at Santa Claus Reindeer, a family business on Joulumaantie 13. In winter that means a traditional reindeer ride; in summer and autumn you meet the reindeer, feed them and hear how their year works.
Reindeer herding is a job in Lapland, not a show. The animals are counted, moved and cared for through the seasons, and the people guiding you at the village do that for a living.
The huskies are the same idea from a different angle. A sled and a team of dogs was how you moved across this country long before anyone had an engine, and the teams here still get harnessed the same way.
Ask a guide which dog is the lead dog. Every team has one, and they are usually extremely pleased about it.
Husky Park hours: daily 11.00 to 13.00 from 1 June to 30 September 2026, daily 11.00 to 15.00 from 1 October to 30 November, and daily 10.00 to 16.00 from 1 December 2026 to 28 February 2027.
Ride length depends on the snow: 500 m, 2 km and 5 km with a sled, 500 m and 1 km with a wheeled carriage.
A winter activity comes with a visiting ticket that lets you stay in the park all day and come and go as you like.
Santa Claus Reindeer is open all year at Joulumaantie 13. In summer 2026 it is open Monday to Saturday 10.00 to 16.00 and closed on Sundays.
